Hello.

I recently just came back to MineRealm and I lost my warehouse so I decided to go scavenger hunting through the nether, to find things.

I found a deserted building and underneath it, it had a chest full of general items. When I walked out of the building, an admin said I was stealing and then banned me.
The last time I checked, a derelict building on a public land where there is no other sign of 'life' around, I wasn't aware that you could be banned for stealing?

The area was far from deserted or abandoned as the owner has been there just a day earlier than you.

I asked what you were doing:
Your answer: I'm just looking around.
I asked why you were looting:
Your answer: I'm just borrowing.

What you did was clearly not borrowing. Don't lie to staff.
Looting in the normal world is never allowed before a staff approves it, no matter how griefed or abandoned a place looks.

Ok well I wasn't aware of the rules regarding looking in abandoned buildings but all I can do is apologise for what I done and assure you it won't happen again.

As I state in every appeal that comes down to looting,

Whether a building appears to be abandoned, deserted, griefed, does not give anyone the right to further break the rules and grief/loot it more.

If you come across a area you wish to purchase, to live in, you should contact staff to see whether it is abandoned or not. Purchasing a realm with the sole intent to loot will get you banned.

Now for your warehouse, would you care to give me the coordinates? You might be able to get back your items at least, depending on when it disbanded, I will look into it for you.

You will be unbanned Tuesday June 11, 2013.

Chris, I still have your warehouse, everything is still in the condition it was when I found it. I've been looking out for you the past few weeks but we never seem to be online at the same time.

Well I've been away for a while now so I wasn't aware of this new rule.
I think the ban date should be shorter since I was sincerely not aware of this. I literally only just started playing fully and within an hour I get banned.

Ok that's good. Yeah, we're in different timezones which is quite annoying. I do occasionally /profile you but I miss you by 8 hours!

It's not a new rule, we've used that general premises since realms existed. As far as a shorter ban time, simply no, I can extend it if you like?

Even if you were unaware it still doesn't make it ok. You have been around since October looking at your forum profile, probably even later if I check you in-game, so you should be well aware of the rules by now. Especially seeing as when staff are on they make it clear looting is bannable to all players when they are banning.

Can I be unbanned please. It's the 13th June.
