I was banned because of breaking a chest. My friend, nflbound78, who is in my realm, put his chest in the public realm. I tried fixing it by putting it in the private realm. Suddenly, I got disconnected and it said "Banned for Griefing".

I am very sorry to grief I was just trying to help my friend so his items won't get stolen

But you shouldn't have been autobanned. Autobanning for griefing doesn't happen. Now, I highly doubt that a staff would have banned you for breaking a chest without at least investigating the matter beforehand to make sure that the chest wasn't yours or your friends. Something doesn't add up here.

On the other hand, should staff come here and say that they banned you just the way you said, I'd be interested in knowing why they banned you without investigation.

Actually, it does now. And there have been a few mistaken autobans in the last few days, mostly for situations just like this.

Ech, assuming you are correct and you were helping your friend, you will probably be unbanned very shortly.

Auto banning for grieving has recently been made, and is activated by breaking a chest placed by someone else

He is being 100% honest, it is the same kind of thing that got me banned. I play with real live friends and I, along with he, did not realize that you could not break your friend's chest. Please unban him, he is a good player.
