About Yourself: I'm a fairly outgoing person as some of you may notice while playing on Minerealm with me. The other realm members of Minas Tirith can vouch for me, since all of them know me either in real life or in the World of Warcraft.
I am currently working as an intern in my local community, and this fall will be attending my second year of college for Software Engineering. In my spare time, I enjoy writing my own bits of code, whether it be C + + or HTML/PHP. Outside of the man-cave, I have a hobby for woodworking, as well as playing Tennis when we're not buried under seven feet of snow.
However, I especially enjoy playing multiplayer games with strong communities (such as this one!), and I tend to be very generous towards others within those communities. I've spent most of my adolescent years growing up on Video Games, and I'm starting to lean back away from the hardcore games. Minecraft is the perfect in-between game for me - something I can pause and come back to at a later time.
I've played Minecraft since the baby days, with a purchase # of 6076. I've watched the game grow, and the community along with it. I've become a strong member of multiple servers, and I've run my own server now for nearly five months. However, I continuously join up almost every evening to this server since discovering it in late January of this year. Minerealm has one of the largest Minecraft communities i've seen aside from World of Minecraft, and is one of the reasons why I come back every evening to enjoy.
Qualifications: Where to begin..
TL;DR -> I held many leadership positions, and still hold many of them to this day.
I started playing Video Games in 1999 with the release of EverQuest. I was an officer of a guild on the Morell-Thule server for three years, helping manage the guild and progress through boss encounters.
I moved to Neverwinter Nights near the end of my EverQuest stage, where I helped several "Arena" server communities expand. I also spent several weeks designing zones and items for the "Arena of Champions" module.
At the same time, I also played Tribes 2, the successor to Starseige: Tribes. I joined up with the Construction community, famous for the Tribes 2 Construction game-type. I recall spending hours reviewing and giving input on the Quantum Construction module.
As Tribes 2 was losing interest, I moved towards a new game on the market, World of Warcraft. I've been playing since early Vanilla in January of 2005, and have been a steady member of three different guilds over the course of those six years. In each of these guilds, I attained Officer status, and am currently an Officer of the guild <Arrogance> on the US-Medivh server. (feel free to whisper me ;])
In early 2007, I began to re-gain an interest in an old game, Marble Blast: Gold. Watching several YouTube videos on the subject matter, I joined up with the Marble Blast community, located at http://www.marbleblast.com. Today, I still hold Moderator status, watching over the forums on a daily basis.
Why you deserve this position: Over the years, I've been trained to spot baddies, and to correct them. My patience level is enormous, and I don't think I've ever been angered while playing Minecraft. I'm a friendly entity on the server, and I enjoy talking in chat a lot. I can also be just as serious as I am playful, for when it comes time to work, the work will be completed to the best of my ability.
As far as these traits go towards the MineRealm community, I've helped several moderators handle chat disputes, as well as 'fix' any harm done to members of the server with my own personal supply of materials. In the event a 'griefer' strikes the server, I have no doubts I would be able to handle the situation and provide my reasoning if questioned.
Lastly, I get along fairly well with others, and can reach reasonable conclusions amongst my fellow moderators and administrators.
Availability:
At the moment, I am mainly around on the weekends from 9:00 PM EST - 3 AM EST (2AM since that's when the server keeps crashing).
On weekdays, I am around from 3:00 PM EST - 6:00 PM EST, and occasionally from 6:30 AM EST - 7:30 AM EST.
*Please be aware that my playtime may be reduced in the event my work schedule changes, or I step further away from video-games in general. In the event my playtime routine changes, I will edit this post. If this brings up concerns when you review the application process, please speak with me directly in-game.
Anything else you wish to add:
Whether not I am selected, I would like to extend my hand to thank any moderator or administrator that takes the time to read this application. I enjoy the MineRealm community, and look forwards to seeing you all in-game for many months to come.
