About Yourself: I am a relative new-comer to MineRealm and greatly enjoy Minecraft. I started during Beta 1.7 and am now addicted to Minecrack.
Qualifications: Minecraft is the first online multiplayer game in which I have joined the community. I have no prior experiences with games like it or writing about them, but everyone has to start some where. I am not a long winded writer and most posts would be about a paragraph with relevant links at the bottom.
Why you would like this position: When I joined in mid September 2011 I was somewhat put off by the announcement on the main page that 1.5 was available. The post is still on the home page. I feel that the lack of any news activity and the fact that it is the predominant feature on our main page puts MineRealm in a bad light to new people. The first thing a person sees on minerealm.com is a scrolling list of news topics. I feel I can help bring life back into this forgotten part of MineRealm with news regarding server events and happenings in the world that is Minecraft.
Availability: I am currently a freshman in high school so ~3 to 5 pm EST weekdays and it varies on weekends. I will also be able to post from my iPod during lunch at school at 10:30.
Anything else you wish to add: Content of News Posts I feel the content of my posts is a key piece of the application. I intend to write about Minecraft updates, happenings on the server and major events in the forums (mod-ships and rule changes). The posts will be short (1 to 2 paragraphs), and I will make an effort to post them in a timely manner.
