About Yourself:
I am a currently a freshman and I maintain straight A's and a 4.0. I take school very seriously and never settle for less than my best. I am enrolled in all honor's classes, and enjoy learning about every subject. I am on the school debate team. This was my first year in debate, as I am a freshman, and I a participated on the varsity division. Debate teaches you how to communicate in many different situations and how to share information effectively. I believe this skill would make me a good news writer. I am also on the FRC team. For those of you who don't know much about FRC, you can read more about it here. I am a part of the firmware department and I help out in the media department. I recently coded and designed a mobile website explaining the various tools we used to control our robot. This communication helped out team win the Innovation In Control award, which is the first award we have ever won.

Qualifications:
I am a very active member of MineRealm and have never been banned. I know a lot about communication and the aspects needed to make it effective. I believe strongly in everything I do and put full effort into it.

Why you deserve this position:
Overall, I really just want to help spread important news to all players and make the server a better place. I would treat my job as if I was the White House Press Secretary. I would collect and spread information to world, while doing it in a respectful and proper manner.

Availability:
I am at school from 7:30 AM to 2:45 PM. During the fall, I have debate until 5:00 PM on weekdays and I am gone in the morning and evening on Saturdays. During the Winter and early Spring, I have robotics from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Despite this some what busy schedule, I always make time to play Minecraft.

Anything else you wish to add:
I would also like to add more social media to MineRealm. This would include news on the MineRealm Twitter, posts on the Facebook page, a Google Plus page, and a Pinterest page. I feel that in order to have the best news source it should be available in many places. I think it would also be a good idea to have an email, such as [email protected], where users can give ideas for different topics and stories. If this isn't possible, I would encourage players to PM me on things they would like to be reported on.

:o OZinky is really a very active player of MineRealm and is always trying to do whatever thing he can make to help other players and I think he should get the place because he is in honors society (that's what I understood) and a debate team so that would make him a great news writer.

Sorry, I wasn't sure whether or not applications are supposed to have a poll. Also, emailing it to subscribers is a great idea. An RSS feed would be neat too.

My ideal layout would look something like this:

Except the font size would be smaller and there would be more content on the different pages. The newspaper would have to be one large image because of formatting restrictions, so there would be no pure text. In an email version you would be able to highlight, copy, etc. It would be very cool however if Intelli could change the News Blog section from a thread to what you would see on a real news website, where there would be pages and clickable sections. An example would be a less cluttered version of the New York Times website.
