About Yourself: Where to begin... Well, I am currently a senior in high school, and I'm planning on going to CU-Boulder next year to study Chemistry (I might be going for a doctorate, but of course, that's many years away). I'm a golfer and a huge hockey fan (My team is the Avalanche, hence my username). I have been playing video games for quite a long time, and I have been playing Minecraft for two years since a friend of mine got me interested in it. I joined MineRealm in January of 2012 and I have found it to be the best Minecraft server I have played on.
Qualifications: My first multiplayer Minecraft server was Brohemoth's Clan Wars, quite a large server at the time. Over the course of about a year, I worked my way up the ranks and became a leader of one of the server's four clans. I later became an admin on this server for a short time before it closed due to a lack of donations. My time on Bro's server gave me experience with the "PR" side of being on staff, as I was often looked to for help, questions, griefing repairs, and the like. I have also operated my own small Bukkit servers for friends on several occasions, so I am comfortable with the technical side of being on a server's staff. MineRealm uses a different system, of course, but I am a quick learner and would adapt quickly.
Why you deserve this position: I have been on MineRealm for almost a year now, and have grown to love the server. I love helping people, especially new players, and I believe I am ready to bring my previous experience as a server admin to MineRealm where I can put it to good use. Particularly with the recent influx of new players, it is important to have staff members on constantly to help people out, and I have the experience necessary to contribute as a member of staff. I try to help already in any way I can by answering questions or giving materials to new players, but I would love to be able to contribute more by enforcing the rules and keeping the server fun and fair for everybody.
Availability: Currently I am available most of the time during the day and night, but when school starts in January, I will be mostly available in the evenings and on weekends. I have noticed that there don't seem to be staff members online very often during the evenings in my time zone, and I would be able to fill in that gap a bit.
Anything else you wish to add: I realize this is long, so thank you for taking the time to read through it. Most people on MineRealm probably don't know about my previous experience, so I wanted to take plenty of time to explain it thoroughly.
