Hey all. I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie, and nothing gets the heart pumping like the thrill of a good horror game(or a defibrillator). Unfortunately, I am not very easy to scare, and I need a new scary game to play while I wait for the next Silent Hill or Fatal Frame to come out. Any suggestions? Tell me which games you consider to be the most frightening and why.

Edit: Yeah, Amnesia has to be either No.1 or No.2 on my list. Good game by the way, definitely worth checking out.

haven't played it myself, but i heard 'amnesia: the dark descent' is quite scary.

Alan Wake not really scary but it is the best story line around and there are moments when the darkness pops out kinda makes you jump(kinda,in a way)If you dont have a 360 though i feel sorry for you its only for the xbox 360
You wont understand what the darkness is till you play the game(hint: its dark)

Really, even if I liked scary games, I woudn't buy this one. For half of the video it is a black screen and whenever whatever is growling comes out of the door all you see/hear is the dude gasping and turning so he can run. The only other notable this was the random earthquake near the end. It just looks... odd.

The reason he is running is because you cannot kill the monsters in Amnesia, and looking at them makes it easier for them to find you. But then again, to hide from them you need to go into a dark place, which also makes it easier for them to find you the next time they come around(your sanity drops in the dark, lower sanity=more creepiness).

Okay makes sense I guess but how can you play the game when the enitre screen is black, so black you can't see anything, like your T.V. is off. Lol... fun game.

Earthbound... If you beat the game, you know what I mean.

That game only catches people off guard, it's not really terrifying.
The music counts double.
