What ever happened to Yarr?

On the 14th Decemeber last year we were all teased with a sneak preview video of a new game mode - Yarr!
Now, I don't know about the rest of you but it looked amazing! So, what happened to it? Is it still being worked on?

I dunno but I have noticed we haven't had a party server fling in a while.

Don't get me wrong Intelli I think I can speak for all the members in Nordica, that we were quite excited about this idea. But we never had any further announcements as to when the event was going to occur.
I first thoughts were, awesome this sounds exciting almost to good to be true. But then I wondered when the event would happen. I mIssed most of the party event due to the odd combination of working that evening and being in the euro time zone.

Id be willing to help make some much more impressive looking ships, and a world in general.
I think a castle wars style mini-game where each team gets a pirate ship would be very cool. A central island might be cool as well.
Perhaps a capture the flag system could work as well.

There's certainly potential in this for a lot of fun!
