So, I was thinking of this new command. Not sure how many people will care for this, but...

/recipie

This would show us how to make something, along with a proper diagram. Like this.

X = Wooden planks

X X 0
X X 0
X X 0

This would make a wooden door. For cake, you'd put /recipie cake, and a diagram would pop up.

This would certainly help new players and people new to Minecraft in general. Before anyone says, "Why not just look it up online?", sometimes people don't feel like tabbing out to look it up online as this opens up the possibility of dying while looking up the recipe. (I know you can just log out, but that makes it even less convenient.

Helpbot already sort of does this though.

what ever happened to the maps and finding a use for those?

I question why anyone is trying to craft something in a place with an immediate chance of death.

helpbot is helpful, but it isn't perfect, there is some crafting recepies that it doesn't know, so this command would be helpful.
but it doesn't have to be like this: DDO or what ever was in the topic, it can work as cleverbot does it now, with text. DDO
