Mine happened tonight.
I've had a little project in mind that requires about 1/2 a stack of glowstone.
Was able to trade for it tonight.
Yay, GS in inventory, smile on my face.../trade back to my home.
World Hole. That's ok, it usually fixes itself quickly.
Ut oh. It's not fixing itself. Crap. What happens if I die like this? Where does my stuff go?
Ok, I'll just /spawn.
/spawn. Die. Crap. There's another player RIGHT in front of me.
Respawn. GS safe.
*sigh of relief*

So...what's yours?

*Takes his enchanted gear and walks to his portal
*Falls into his 1 x 1 hole of lava
*Dies
*All stuff is gone forever. -15k Rc

Accidentally hitting Q instead of W when trying to maneuver across lava while holding shift. Tossed my Fortune 3 Unbreaking 3 in the lava. Thankfully got an even better one a few enchants later.

which is why I changed my "drop" key binding to the other side of the keyboard lol.

In minerealm. Enter nether at a remote area, to mine netherbrick. Step out of portal. Fall through a 1x2x50 hole into lava. Die.

Fortunately, I only lost some bread and some iron picks, since I didn't want to risk my diamond equipment in the nether.

Well, "I" didn't die...

... but when that screen popped up it was the scariest thing to ever happen on Minerealm. And there WAS a death involved and this IS a Death Story...

Trying to make an auto-mob grinder, place down 3 water sources, leave, come back 20 minutes later, get pushed into lava blades. Level 20, diamond pick (Unbreaking II Eff I), diamond axe, diamond sword, all gone.

One fine morning, Bonejunky, Dark Overlord of Everything, was walking through the woods. Suddenly, one of his minion skeletons came out of hiding and shot Bonejunky in the face. Hard. Usually, Bone only used his minions to evade /kill, but this one rebelled against Bone and killed him. Then Bonejunky respawned and banished the skeleton from the Minerealm world.
