The Wikipedia Game
Objective: Reach the goal page either as fast as possible or with as few links as possible.
Rules- You must stay on Wikipedia.org
- No using the search bar
- No using CTRL + F or your browser’s equivalent of finding text on a page
- (edit- I had a poll to see if that should be a rule or not)
Keeping scores
- For Speed Mode (as fast as possible) you need a stopwatch or off a clock just roughly in minutes
- For Fewest Clicks, either count your clicks as you go or when you reach the goal count how many times clicking Back will take you to the start.
I decided to make some Minecraft-related starting points and goals. Also included is my favorite, Hitler to Hello Kitty. Yes, I know this already exists (the wiki game) but it's much easier to play on Wikipedia.org.
Mr. Clean to
Markus Persson
Mango to
Mojang
Jupiter to
Minecraft
Hitler to
Hello Kitty
Post your high scores here!

Okay I chose this one because it was the easiest for me
Hitler -> Imperial Japan -> Tokyo -> Tama -> Sanrio -> Hello Kitty
Took about a good 50 minutes actually!
EDIT: I also got Jupiter to Minecraft in 8 clicks.
That took a lot longer though..

I got from Mango to Java and it only took me 30 minutes, now I seem to be stuck. So close but yet so far....

Mango->Carribean->Central America->United States->Conservatism in the United States->United States Chamber of Commerce->Stop Online Piracy Act->Mojang
7 Links.
An alternate path that I thought about, but didn't try to actually follow would be (roughly) mango->Asia->Japan->Atomic Bomb->Fallout->Fallout disambiguation->Bethesda->Mojang. I'm not sure what the exact path in there is, but I'm sure there is one somewhere in that chain that would work.
EDIT: Mango->Mexico->United States->Conservatism in the United States->United States Chamber of Commerce->Stop Online Piracy Act->Mojang
6 links.

Doesn't seem to work.
Mango > East Asia > Japan > Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki > Acute radiation syndrome > Nuclear fallout > Fallout (disambiguation) > Fallout (series) >
From there, I tried Bethesda Softworks, Bethesda Game Studios, and The Elder Scrolls; none of them have mentions of Mojang. The SOPA connection was a good idea though

I just checked, and the closest I could find was a link from the Bethesda talk page to Mojang.
EDIT: Fallout (game series)->Bethesda->Skyrim->Steam->Minecraft or Markus Persson->Mojang.

6 links, about 40 minutes (didn't keep accurate time):
Mr. Clean -> Russia -> Norway -> Sweden -> Jan-Ove Waldner** -> People from Stockholm* -> Markus Persson
7 links, took only 9 minutes:
Mr. Clean -> YouTube -> Video game console -> History of video games -> List of best-selling video games -> List of best-selling PC video games -> Minecraft -> Markus Persson
*Had to go to the 3rd page of 200 names to the P section (I count that article as one since it is)
**Some random Olympic table tennis player in the Culture section

Wanna hear something interesting? If you continue clicking on the first link (omitting disambiguation articles, word origin, and pronunciation) in wikipedia articles, you'll almost always eventually reach the article on philosophy. Try it!
Mojang > Swedish > Nordic Country > North Atlantic > oceanic > saline water > water > chemical substance > chemistry > science > knowledge > information > ordered > mathematics > quantity > property > modern philosophy > philosophy
