I did a search of the forum regarding alternate accounts and the legality of such. I know it's illegal per forum rules to use an alternate account to circumvent a ban or other administrative punishment but I've been curious if a player in good standing could use an alternate account. I don't really like my current minecraft account "anunez91", the name to be more specific, and have an alternate account that I made recently that is more closely related to my steam account name that I prefer much more. I'm wondering if it would be ok for me to transfer all of my current realms and credits to my perfectly legal and relatively new alternate account and retire this account from minerealm completely.

ugh I would think it wouldn't be a problem as long as you don't use either account for illegal activities....

Using alt accounts is allowed as long as it isn't for ban evasion purposes. I have several that I use myself.

i'm not saying that i wasn't thankful for being allowed to play on alts, but why was i allowed to play on alts to get around my bans?

Just remember, with the tax you'll lose 10% of the credits transferred in that way--could be substantial, depending on how many credits you have. Might be worthwhile to buy any land you've been eying up, and then sell it to your new account for 1 credit per realm in order to minimize the effect of taxation.

Anunez this is perfectly acceptable, as Kero says, i myself did such a thing 2 weeks after joining on my alt, and i've found that alt useful for duplicating buildings and circuits i had on the server in different locations

WONDERFUL question. Unfortuneately for you, Shockwave was eventually unbanned, and for your long list of alts your current ban isn't being lifted, whereas it likely would've been if you'd never used a circumventing alt to begin with. That being said, your alts are taking there toll as we speak.
