Help?

My minecraft keeps freezing up when I join Minerealm. Can anyone help? I've redownloaded, again and again, but it is determined I never play again. Has this happened to anyone before?

Open a single player file, save and exit to main menu, join minerealm.

It keeps doing it, but now it's not letting me do single player either. No single player or Minerealm. Oh. May. Gawd. Only my private server left now :(

Do a "force update" when you login, if that fails find yer .minecraft folder delete it and start fresh

Will the first one affect any mods I have?

Yep, it will...but I imagine reinstalling them is better than not having minecraft...

Yeah Vailure probably has the best solution as it could be a case of conflicting installed mods.
I recommend backing up your minecraft jar files after doing a force update, to keep a copy in future and maybe other copies which you've successfully installed one or more mods in. That way if you do have a conflicting mod, it should be easier to track down.
