Was derping along wearing diamond armor as normal, with my fortune III pick, as normal.

I'm at trade, I exit trade, hit /home, and start falling through the world, happened before, I log in and out to avoid dying. Then a minute or so later, I hit /trade, and when I come back from /trade, I start falling through the world, but this time my hearts go down to half a heart instantly.

I log back in and I'm dead. Hours worth of work gone. Wow.

I'm not asking for my items back, of course. But I really hope this is patched soon. Now I don't feel safe using /trade anymore. :X

Ouch. That sucks, and yeah, I thought relogging worked.

I get this too... But it has never killed me... Bet you had a worthy Rage Quit! Lol

Make sure when you go /home or come back from /trade, there is nothing above you.

This used to happen to me A LOT. The best ways to avoid it are to use /trade to exit the trade room, as well as making your /home point 2 blocks off the ground.

I died from this twice just a few nights ago. It seems to me that it only kills you when you /home from /trade.

I used to have this problem. Easy way to solve this is to /sethome on a block higher than the rest of ur land.

I have a similar problem, when I /home over long distances the chunk I land in loads last (or doesn't load at all) I end up spazzing over the void where ground would be. This hasn't resulted in death, but I am concerned that it might.
Suggestion to fix this: Add a delay where chunks get the chance to load before the player lands.

I always thought this was a lag that would do it, after I lost 14 diamonds (Not much).

I have this every once in awhile. Just moved my home point around until it never happened again.
