You guys have a problem and you need to get help. Very few of you are fit to be Moderators, so stop posting requests and clogging the forum with your bull crap. We shouldn't be getting one Moderator Request per day.

I agree, however, noticing most of the "applicants" make their forum account that very same day, makes it doubtful that they even read the pre-requisite of being a mod.. Oh well.

I just wonder what's going through their heads when they write those applications. I've never felt that I just randomly want to join a server of any game and on the first day become a moderator. Is it really that appealing to want to be one? Not only this, but do people actually think server owners are naive enough to just accept anybody? It's like handing in your resume..and you can say whatever you want, but if you don't have the support of your college (a degree) and people working in the field, then your words hold no weight. Yet, even if you do have those, your chance can be just as slim.

I plan to not become a mod unless the server absolutely needs it. I prefer to not be bothered every five minutes, thank you very much.

Maybe we should lock creating new topics in the 'Staff Applications' thing until the player has been on the forums for 2 months.

Sounds good to me.

That would be great, but it might present new problems. They might think that if they are on the forum for two months, they automatically qualify for a moderator position.

Pretty sure someone would be more than happy to remove that notion from their head through massive verbal trauma. Besides, most of these apps are completely ignorable. No real reason to even notice them, so who cares if random nubs are applying every 12 hours?

It's simple. They are either children with a poor education or adults with even less education that have been handed everything their whole lives. They feel that they should just be given whatever they want. It's kind of annoying, but be comforted by the fact that some of them will starve to death.
Also, a few of them are just griefers or server thieves trying to get admin priviliges. The fact that this trick works often enough that they keep trying makes me feel no pity for their victims.

Al least it'll stop the flow of apps every minute.
