I was tooling around in my inbox and found the Terra Nova app. This is what was sent out to all people who wanted to apply. The goal was to not ever let anyone in. The app itself will explain why. If you want, fill it out and I will respond in the way I was told to for fun.

39. How do airplanes fly? The upward force exerted on an airplanes wings and body is caused by the difference in pressure on the bottom and top of the wing/body. The top is slightly more curved then the bottom surface. The air flowing past the wing must reach the initial point to the ending point in the same amount of time, regardless of if the air is below or above the wing. This causes the air above the wing to be flowing faster. Thus, more of the air pressure above the wing is directed parallel to the wings surface rather than perpendicular to it, compared to the bottom of the wing where more pressure is directed perpendicular to the wing. Therefore, net pressure is directed upward. The force caused by this pressure is just enough to counteract the weight of the airplane.

When a potential difference in electrical charge exists between two points in a closed circuit of conductors (commonly coper wire), valence electrons (having a negative charge) are able to move (or flow).
