So... Audio Recording Problems.

I am having a little trouble with pairing audio with my screen recordings. I am trying to record JUST computer sounds (Minecraft, Oblivion, Cthulhu Saves the World, basically all other games) and NO voice. At all.

I am using Hypercam (Tried 2 and 3) and Windows 7 with Realtek High Def. Audio. I played the videos back on Windows Media Player and Quicktime Player.

What I did was:

1. Enabled "Stereo Mix" and set it as default.
2. Set audio recording to Default Sound Recording Device on Hypercam (2 & 3).
3. Recorded a video, played it back.

No sound.

The only audio recording devices I have are "Stereo Mix" and "Microphone" and if I use "Microphone" it records my voice.

I have tried updating my audio driver many times, and still, no success.

If anyone can help me, that would be great. If not, I am going to have to make an account on some other forum (and I already have too many forum accounts XD)...

Thanks!

Try fraps and audacity for voice.

There are probably other things, use something to record noise, and something to watch it.

Ok, then just use fraps.

I don't have Fraps, nor do I have the money to buy it. Thanks for trying to help though!

EDIT: Figured it out! I had to manually update my driver.

Sound works perfect on everything but Hypercam 2!!! And Hypercam 3 has watermarks...

So I have CamStudio! Huzah!

I'm so happy I could sing!

But I won't.
