Terra Nova wishes to reassure you that we have never, and will never, support dinosaurs and time travel back to an era that contains them. Time traveling away from your problems is not only giving up, but also illogical. Just think how much energy it must take to maintain a portal open to the past, which could be used instead to fix the terribly depressing world that the people flee from.
If it were THIS Terra Nova's problem, we would have fixed it already and NOT run screaming like small children into the past to be chased by dinosaurs.

I as an individual, however, do support dinosaurs because they are awesome. I want a pet triceratops.
Also, we're on the map!

Coincedentally I saw a giant poster advertising 'Stephen Sphielburghs (?) Terra Nova.' I saw that yesterday while driving through Brisbane...

It really depends on the cost-benefit ratio. If certain doom is 10 years in the future and no available technology can help (solar nova, 100 mile wide asteroid, etc.) then spending all available resources on a lifeboat to the past is perfectly reasonable. Sometimes you just can't stand and fight the inevitable.
