I LOVE the hunger games series, and I'm reading it. It is about kids from 12-18 that have to fight to the death till one stands! :twisted:
It really depends on your age though.

The Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy. It will be the best book you've ever read. However its a fairly advanced book with extremely graphic/explicit themes, its not meant for everyone.

Silverwing series.
Darkwing Prelude to Silverwing.
If you don't want series books don't ask me. I am a great reader but I hate single books. Usually they end to quickly and leave me P.Od

Edit: Ender's Game Series is also good.

Leviathan. Artemis Fowl.

a little while back, a friend of mine recommended to me, books by the author, haruki murakami. they are some of the greatest books i have ever read. i found them to be so unbelievably relevant to our times. a true post-modern author. so far i've read The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, Sputnik Sweetheart, and Kafka on the Shore. reading them has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
