Ok, back before realms could disband, the day before actually, this happened:

I bought a realm from another player who wasn't online much. The day after I bought it, it said that it was public land now, and it was disbanded. How could this happen? Could I get some sort of refund?

I built a creeper there, inside of a walled in compound. I also have another compound on the hill above it.

After all if done, and the time away from the realm, I walked back to it today and found it griefed to heck. The hill compound has turned into some ugly store and house, the road is griefed, and my creeper compoound has been looted.

The obvious culprits are Lukependergast, as he has signs for a store everywhere in the realm, and some other player bought the land right up (joshua609) May I at least have the realm back? Or a refund?

Kerovon says that this has happened before, and it is a realm disband glitch, where it thinks that the owner I bought it from still owns it. And the owner was idle for 30 days, came online, sold me the realm, and the realm turned public anyway.

Manually went through the script. What you've just described is impossible, as if one player sells a realm to another player, they're removed as a member from the realm. Unless that player was still showing in /realm users, there's no way the script could have though they were still a leader.

And even if you manually added them back as a member after they sold the realm to you, that wouldn't cause the issue you described either.

Then how'd the realm I bought from this player turn public?

I never sold it, or let my friends on MY minecraft.

I lost 10k in this deal, and that is all I want back.

There are holes in your story though. You say that the day after you bought it, that it went public.

However, if you just bought it from the user, that user was obviously were not inactive for 1 month, and therefore, the realms of the user you just bought it from didn't become public.

Are you sure you bought the realm? Do you actually know how to purchase a realm from another user? Or did he just "add" you as a member, and then later remove you?

in theory, the realm he purchased from an inactive user could not be disbanded.
the user was online meaning that his realms wouldnt go public right away anyway.

for a second statement, since i was on minerealm there has been many realms disband and since this post was only posted Tue Sep 06, 2011 6:28 pm (if that is the time it was posted.), why didnt you report this before? i have been on for about a month now, and i seen the disband message multiple times. so why would you be reporting it now is my question el wolf?

shouldnt you have reported this problem then? and not now.
i know for a fact many realms were disband, and i knew the 30 day policy, but i dont know then that was put in place.

in my opinion theres something wrong with you mentioning all of this now instead of reporting it when it happened. to me, it just dont make sence how it was disband, and why you didnt report it sooner then when you did.

your a good person, you still have my support for your mod status, but i dont think you should get a refund or the realm... with all what was said so far, it looks like your not being honest with all which you say. in my opinion, and i may be wrong but, it looks to me as if your abusing the script to get a realm which is already purchased.

I did what I always do, /realm to check if its mine after purchasing it, and the realm owner said I owned it.


Brandon, he was offline for 30 days, came online the day before realms started disbanding, sold me the realm. The next day, it cancelled my ownership somehow, I'm guessing because it was the old owner being gone for 30 days and the realm disbander was primed to send his old realms to publicland. But Intelli says this is impossible.

And I hadn't noticed it was public until now because the realm is a ways from spawn, and I've been busy.

At this point I'm severly confused. I think I should just drop it. Off to go help Cogohst with his Phoenix!
