I was gone from the server on vacation for a week, and half of the players who make a positive difference on the server were banned? Why did everyone who was banned for an x ray mode decide to do it all at the same time? Why are so many veterans of the server being forum banned? Any helpful advice filling me in would be appreciated. (Anything that happened Monday to Today)

You could of just looked at the sticky threads in each subforum and figured it out, but since i am a kind person, I will explain.

Intelli has been logging everything, we already knew this. However, no one really thought through exactly what that meant. Basically, he ran a script that found everyone who had mined up more than 20 diamonds in 5 minutes, and banned them. Since pretty much the only way for that to happen is an xray hack, it caught all the xrayers.

As for forums bans, i heard that panthers finally snapped and banned lightbulbs and all of lights' alts in a single furious act of rage like conan the barbarian on crack. This is the story i was told as to explain that. And lights was PMing around some stuff the admins wanted kept private, which probably didn't help.

As for others' forum bans, its most likley because the xray ban stirred everyone up and people simply assumed they could get away with a little more. Its like if your in a crowded room, the volume starts rising as people talk, until it reaches the point where everyone is screaming at each other without even noticing it. And as we all know, saves doesn't like screaming on the forums. So any other forum bans are probably attributable to that.

Any other drama is just the usual yahoos doing their thing.

Yeah thanks I figured out a little bit of what happened in-game, but that paragraph^ sounds like a great wrap up of what happened thanks.

You see what happen was a lot of people were shown to be hypocrites. always talkin about following the rules and stuff, when they themselves were breaking the rules.

Although, a lot of the banned people admitted to having moments of weakness. It's not like their entire times on minerealm they used x-ray.
