"For 1.11 there is a new game rule called "maxEntityCramming" with the default set to 24 (i.e. 25+ entities at the same spot will suffocate)" -Jeb

Not that this really makes a difference here on Minerealm where it's a miracle to even have 24 entities in the same place, but still, why change this after 6 years? To add realism to a game where zombie pigmen are washed into a death pit to collect the gold they possess somehow?

(I heard this works on players too, shame we'll never get to test that out)

Why 24? I think I can answer this. They realized 3 was too small, so they multiplied it by a power of 2 and called it a day well done.

Also

1.11 has 3 1's

3 - 1 = 2

therefore, entity limit is 3 * 2^3 = 24

24 backwards is 42, the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

42 - 24 = 18 = 2 * 3^2

Mojang is illuminati confirmed.
