Looks like they're going for "the most ported video game of all time" title.

So it is pocket edition for PC. Doesn't look like it will effect us at all.

I am surprised it is not a Windows Universal App that is the same App but runs on the PC, Windows 10 Mobile, Xbox One, and so on. I will have to check it out anyway. Might be interesting to have a Minerealm on that platform even though it looks like it will have more limited functionality initially.

It still apparently has the 7 person limit, so I don't think minerealm will spread to it.

Oh thats a bummer, that will be my first bit of feedback then "More players please"

That's Minerealms average playerbase limit for the last month or so, should be perfect for it

They've made it clear that this version is only being developed so that xbox one users and potentially windows 10 phone users can all play on one intergrated platform. The Java version is not being phased out or anything. They're also making it free for the first such and such period of time for all people with the PC version.

That said I dont know that I'll be using this Win10 version much. It seems just as clunky and counter intuitive as the pocket edition.
