Greetings.
Pictures are nice, gifs nicer, especially showing before and after pictures.

The spoiler provides links good for making gifs. There might be better ways out there, but this is the basic and free stuff. Here are some progress gifs of Arcane with pictures taken two years apart.

Use Gfycat for gifs. Not imgur. Gfycat converts it to an HTML5 video thats like 30x smaller. It's quite amazing.

Well, use it for big gifs. For 10 frames or less I doubt anyone cares.
