I was on when you mentioned this. So I looked at the moon and mine was normal. Are you using any resource packs? That could be what caused it.

I don't use any 3rd party program that interact with Minecraft.

Well, considering the normal moon is already there, I'm afraid I can't provide any explanation other than either a building or a texture glitch.
