Has anyone else noticed that horses and donkeys are not spawning correctly or is this just me and bad luck, because there is a plains biome near my realm and no horses or donkeys. I found a donkey before during the server rebooting incident yesterday before the spawner fixing script came about and the last time I logged in that day the donkey was gone and I had no idea where i found it at.

nope, I found an entire cluster of horses and kidnapped a couple. *shrug* IDK what's wrong where you are.

The only horses you'll find will be the ones which generated during map wipe downtime and rarely when there are few players on (like the brief time after a reboot). This is the same for the other animals as well.

Unfortunately, mojang never put much thought into mob spawning for large servers.

That's the thing I have seen some horses near by and took two so I can breed to get more colors (I already had a few horses stashed away) and killed the rest to help with the respawning of them but they still haven't respawned. I have also check further from my home realm in Savanas and Plains but no dice. And I have stayed in one of the biomes that horses spawn in for couple of minecraft days and still have yet to see them spawn; only pigs, sheep, cows, and chickens.
