I've been reading "Deathnote" after watching the anime, I own about 5 so far. I also read the entire "Fullmetal alchemist" series as well as caught up on the brotherhood adaptation. I just started to read "Berserk" and I know how long that will take me to catch up to that ongoing series... Also there was the "Deadman wounderland" which was ok, I'm also trying to read "Inuyasha" as well. So yea, I'm into mangas. I'm also looking for more as I go. But mostly I just watch the anime they are based on first to get a feel for them and then go back and read to see the differences.

Let me get this right, Manga is japanese graphic novels and an art style.
Where as Anime is the Japanese word for animation, but to us in America and Europe, Anime is the word for Japanese Animation or animation that may be western, but in a japanese style.

But I have watched japanese animated films which are refered to as Manga.
Aware that the comic form would of come first, but does Manga refer to a specific style of Japanese animation.
Watched stuff including Akira, Bubblegum Crisis, Legend of the Dragon Princes, etc.

Basically what is the difference between manga and anime?

This is about it.

I'm a big fan of Madoka Magica, which does have a manga based on the anime, as well as a couple spinoff mangas: Kazumi Magica, Oriko Magica, and Different Story. :3

Thats exactly the way i do it^^
I started reading Souleater and The World God Only Knows because i love the Animes.
and i started The Sacred Blacksmith, because my brother said the Anime is good and i should watch it, and i saw the Manga in a store peeked in and bought it^^ still didnt watched the anime, because there are a lot other animes i need to watch first^^

talking of which, how about change the titel to "Anime"^^
i want to talk about anime^^ here is my Profile its in german but i think most browsers are able to translate it.

I used to read Manga back when I had no responsibilities *sheds a tear* and of course, minecraft wasn't in my life taking up all my free time.

I remember reading I think it was called Tokyo Mew Mew. .. girliest Manga ever
