Many people seem to be concerned about the security of their /home during the Mist, so I thought I'd share my secure vault door design with you. It can be opened from the outside only by people who have permissions to your realm. Hopefully those who have permissions to your realm are also trustworthy enough to not kill you and take your items during the Mist

DerDarz has also designed a wonderfully compact AFK room with a piston door entrance that would provide full security during the Mist, but I can't share it without his permission ... will update once I have his approval.

The world save for the secure door is below, with pics following. Note that it can be built into a straight wall and doesn't have to have the roof/walls both sides as shown in my pictures.

Here is Darz modelling his AFK room design for you ... super compact and easy to build. Once you're in there, you're safe from any mobs or players outside.

You can try this AFK room out at my 125/-125 room ... there are two located in the zombie grinder area, which is down the circular staircase in Lake Cabin.

I know we already discussed in-game, but with the pressure plate I have one like that in my AFK room.
Do pressure plates work during the mist as I know buttons are disabled.

I need one of you lovely high techies to assist me when I'm on to do one of these lol

only buttons are disabled, which is still sort of stupid. Oh well. I have relatively simple double not-gate lever system for a door that is impenetrable, I need to make a world that has a sideview of only that. :3
It works pretty well, as you simply flip a lever to open the door and then another lever inside to close it. it also has an escape button for if someone flips the other lever to lock you inside, or I could just add it that the inner lever overrides the outer one. It's rather variable and compact, so it's pretty handy.

2x2 area with an enderchest to store gear.
Pressure plate activated iron doors and a switch to toggle between grinder and dropper mode for the farm.

Know what would be awesome, if pigmen were actively hostile and I could unleash them on the intruders while in my hole....mwahahahaha

:o I should use the power of my zombie spawner and my magic water elevator and open it to the outside hall. xD
Also add a lava mob-clearing button. xD
