No there isn't, i doubt you watched the videos for some reason.

IMHO: War games = fail. Try the real front lines instead of pixalized art. War games make people think that real life war is all fun and games. I frown greatly upon them and all other games where you mindlessly shoot people. Murder is a bad thing, not fun.

EDIT: Though, if I am right, Halo is fighting aliens? If so... that's fine! Sorry for confusion there, but my opinion still stands (Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3).

LOL, only a retard would think its the same. If you think after playing cod or something that you will be able go out and be able to take 1000 bullets before getting a scratch.
Murder in games is very fun though, if you ask me in a game, "Snit wanna go blow up a church" I would go "Hell yeah son lets kill some nuns", In real life its a different story.
And how do they =fail, they're the most successful and best selling games in the video game industry.

War games are almost completely unlike actual warfare, so much so that they should consider naming them something else. The people you "mindlessly " shoot in war games are clearly defined enemies who desire to hurt innocent people, and the game usually reminds you of this fact with several short scenes in which their brutality and cruelty are expressed upon civilians. These enemies are usually attempting to exterminate millions of people or enslave humanity, which is the video game equivalent of fighting Nazis.

Real warfare, or at least, real modern warfare as of right now, involves standing around waiting for something to happen(like a truck suddenly exploding, taking off your legs, and killing half your squad without an opportunity to fire a single shot).

Murder, defined, is the killing of a human being with the intent to do so beforehand. If a group of armed men with heavy assault rifles burst through a door and begin shooting at you, and you shoot back, that is not murder. You did not plan to kill them, and they tried to kill you first so it becomes self defense.


And yes, Halo is a bad game about killing nasty space aliens. Not very excited.

But you can't steriotype all war games. Some of them are actually very alike to real warfare.

That is true, but most are nothing like the sort. For example:

"La la la la la! Lets go run out in the field filled with Nazis!" *Gets shot at least 10 times* "Hey! That's not very nice! >:(" *Drops dead after 5 more shots (to the heart...)*
