The Republic of Turves is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Prime Minister Bob with a fair hand, and renowned for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.597 billion enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Equality and Healthcare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Turves. The average income tax rate is 44%, but much higher for the wealthy. A robust private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Punitive tariffs protect local industry, politicians are often found scavenging bins at night to supplement their income, and guns are banned. Crime is totally unknown. Turves's national animal is the Pony, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Bit.

Started out as an Inoffensive Centrist Democracy. Has been in the past: Left-wing Utopia, Liberal Democratic Socialists, Civil Rights Lovefest.

Currently trying to boost economy and civil rights, whilst maintaining lower taxes.

Aren't you a bit worried about politicians being so poor they have to search bins to "supplement their income"?

The Corporate Imperium of Dyzistrolux is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Eetrab the Unspoken with an iron fist, and notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.459 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dyzistartarmitronrolux. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Uranium Mining.

The nation has recently been attributed to the funding of terrorist organisations, nobody ever seems to enter or leave the armour-plated flying castle that serves as Dyzistrolux's House of Parliament, the The The is reportedly extinct, and recruitment posters proclaim the army to be both fabulous and fashionable. Crime is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Dyzistrolux's national animal is the The The, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Bartism, and its currency is the Dyztux.
