Asking for a little bit of advice or even donations.

Okay, ladies and gentlemen, due to some generous donations after some depressing whining on my part I am starting a project. I am going to make pixel art of the character Red Stealth from the game Kid Chameleon (Sega Genesis, 1992)
I have included pictures of the character I am for sure building.
I was also wondering whether or not people would like to see a dragon from the same game dead at his feet- it would take a lot more wool and green dye, but personally I think it would make the area a little bit cooler. It would take some more donations, so I wondered what all of you guys thought. I have attached a pixel-by-pixel piece I did in Paint of what he'll look like, tell me if you find a pixel that appears to be out of place.

I believe I have everything for this fine gentleman, but I'm wondering whether I should try and build a higher quality version with more shading- I can always try, but what do you guys think?

Okay, that means I have to go back into the planning stage.
I should still have enough materials, it'll just take me awhile to fix up the shading. :)

Minecraft doesn't have more than one shade of red-
I can't shade him anymore except on the grey parts, because Minecraft also only has the one shade of yellow. :S
Nevermind.

Well you could try used red dyed clay as another shade of red, but I am not sure how dyed clay and wool look together.

I'll see, but I need three colours of progressing darkness that work well together.
For example, netherrack does not go well with wool, etc. etc.
I'll have to experiment.

I cannot seem to find any blocks that work well.
:S
I might just do the little simple one.
