Minerealm Community Forums

I'm curious about how many people from different server periods we have, and how many people choose to stay, and all that 1.0 and 2.0 cultures, people, and events we 3.0 vets have no clue about. So post your join date, and stuff that happened! Hopefully, someone will go and post a detailed entire history of the server, although something tells me that isn't particularly likely. Anyway, share your era and share your memories!

Glad I stuck around anyway.

It may be hard to believe but I did join MineRealm in 2011. I was very inactive after a while because I was "caught" griefing LeafWarrior's house. I rejoined the summer afterwords however.

I joined Fall 2011.
From what I remember, there was admin corruption and duping going on.
Many players left.

Well I joined back in 2010 can't remember exactly when but I'm pretty shore it was before my shown forum join date.

I joined when the distance from spawn of LM108's Brome was public.
...when the server rules and trade center were housed in a square stone slab building.
...when /spawn was facing the opposite direction.
...when the sun traveled north to south instead of the current east to west.
...before the partial land wipe.
...before the most recent nether wipe.
...when glowstone was 10k/stack.
...before experience points.
...and therefore, before enchanted tools and weapons (the horror!).
...when zombies dropped feathers because Notch was lazy.
...when creepers destroyed terrain.
...before chest logs (you had to place a block above your chest in order to see who got into it).
...before the End dimension.
...before the wilderness.
...before parties were renamed to guilds.
...before buddy chat.
...when minerealm creative existed.

We've come a long way.

Also, for Wraith223's post, I'm not that old. I'm from 1.7 Beta/1.8 Beta. I believe the map was updated quite often before the minecraft full release because the terrain generator was always being updated and bugs were continuously fixed and introduced.

I remember that. I made a house on that public spawn realm, then someone bought it, and took all the stuff in my furnace.
