WHY MUST YOU DO THIS!?

I've begun repairing the desert pictured below yesterday, and have made much progress since the picture was taken.

I used to do it for credits before I started netherrack mining. Netherrack mining is even more ugly, and even more profitable

Thats the exact desert I plan to wipe out tommorow...jk. Seriously though if you want to maintain a biome you really need to buy it out. Sand is used a lot (glass blocks, glass panes, glass bottles, etc). I have asked before taking from a desert that is near someone's home. However, you should really expect people to take sand if it is in a public realm. I for one will not mess up your beautified desert on you now that you have publicly announced that you are keeping it nice.

I completely agree. Maby staff could roll some of it back. Even if sand is needed its not that hard to make it look good, and get lots of sand at the same time

I'm in the process of covering the destroyed desert with grass/dirt. Similar to what Arcane did to the desert below their main building.

I'm going to restore my desert, eventually by covering it with a layer of dirt then some sand.

Pfft Techno... The desert next to mine looks like someone nuked it up with 5 rounds of tnt on each block.
Compared to mine, yours is untouched

just out of curiousity. if you terra form a desert to a plains biome or something. does it start raining there too?
