So I'm currently in the works of making a castle for Vortex. I am so far pleased with what I have done, but there is definately room for improvement. I've made a couple of the sides of the castle, but I really don't know what to do next. I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on how I should go about continuing this build, and such. Here is a picture of the build:
If you could give out some pointers, just to make this castle overall look better, I would really appreicate it. Thanks guys!

Make it taller. Go to the limit and have builds of various heights, like a constructed forest.

Keep in mind it's not finished, so there will be a lot more designs being added, taking away the "simple" factor later. Thanks for the comments so far though.

Don't use the red brick, it looks a little gross... Try nether brick, may look better.

Yes, I agree. The overall theme that you are implying wih this castle is "old and dilapidated." In this case, the red brick is too bright for this theme. Also, on the inside, a touch of glow stone lights here and there would look nice for chandeliers, but have the main source of lighting be torches. Also, have a small library and a few places where the floor is made from oak wood planks.

I wonder when i build this at Vortex :/ If i will do it i need help from my guild :3 If u think i dont need Beacons!!
