In the 1.5 update mojang will be adjusting the nether. They will be adding craft able netherbrick out of netherrack! They will also be adding a quartz ore to the nether ! I am also hoping endstone will be made craftable from the quartz.

I love the textures! Will the chiseled and pillar quartz be craftable?

Looks really cool... but I miss when Minecraft was so simple. Like in the early stages of Beta..

Yep all you do is put two quartz blocks on top of each other! There are also quartz stairs, and half slabs!

It will be available in some way. Intelli is probly working on it, but it is not going to be fun the first day it is available...
Greedy people trashing the nether to get the ore It drops 1 quartz a block. Found somewhat like coal, but most of it is buried resulting in lots of strip mining to get it.

It depends on the size of the area in which the quartz will be available, but if it's about the same size as the current nether I predict the entire area will be dug out from top to bottom within 2 weeks.

And quite a few people will be banned for X-Raying.
