Incorrect. Some news sites reported he died in a drone attack and that it was a week ago. This is false.

If you watched Obama's address at 10:30 central, you would know that Osama bin Laden was killed "Hours ago" in Pakistan by a kill team on the ground.

I am sure the video will be posted everywhere soon enough.

Ah, I did not realize this. I was watching CNN tonight and they said that they had just got a positive ID on his body. Sorry light /phoneyremove lightbulbs

Naw. Obama basically said that they had been tracking osama for a couple months now, and once they got a 100% sure location on him, they sent in a black ops ninja team to kill him. Which happened within the past 24 hours or so. Thats not the sort of news you can keep quiet, and obama probably wanted to beat any possible leak.

Now what i want to know is what pakistan's response is going to be, since we were not supposed to be in pakistan at all right now, not even with drones and i have not seen any mention of this being a joint-op. We just rolled in and killed osama, without telling pakistan what we were doing it looks like.

The other thing i want to know is how long its going to take for this to become a cheesy action movie.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that Obama mentioned during his address that they had been in contact with their Pakistani counterparts. Not sure how much cooperation there was, but I don't think it was a total "screw you we're America and we'll do what we want to" operation.
