On my newest world I used BringMeTheSun and it made a pretty sweet map. It's a huge snowy biome with areas of forest and rainforest scattered around. As far as I've explored, these are just islands of green surrounded by more snow and ice.
EDIT: Just realized that this was an epic necropost. This is what I get for being up too late and bored.

mobs lol is a great seed because you spawn right nearby a dungeon
PS: Zombie spawner in dungeon is disabled until uncovered from sand
