If I can afford to have built two desktops totaling $2,300 in the past four years, then I can sure afford both consoles no problem.

maybe a dumb question but was this directed to me? if so this thread was just a heads-up for the people who intend to buy xbox one so they know what they are buying

I don't know why any sensible person would ever buy the Xbox One. It will be monitoring whatever is in front of it 24/7, will likely be under-spec'd compared to a similarly priced PC, and will just all around be terrible.

It's funny that you expect them to be entirely truthful about all of this. Especially after they made it much easier to wiretap into Skype shortly after buying it in 2011.

I never said that, but blowing stuff out of proportion just isn't sensible, I am actually against Xbox One, just stating the facts.

I'd be more concerned about them allowing the publishers to control the trading/reselling of games, than I would a kinect being turned on seeing as they already monitor everything you do or say on the internet.

It was just posted the other day, and is the same as every other article I read regarding the kinect privacy. Only contractions I have read have been regarding the resale of games.

Renting xbox games is out the window and that business is dead.
