[INVALID] Restore the Edit Function

This one isn't a joke, I'm afraid.

I'm sure I could imagine a few reasons for why the edit function has been removed, but I would like it to return. This is because some posts have areas which would be forever changing (i.e. materials stored by a company or whether job vacancies are open), as well as the old convention of editting ban appeals rather than cluttering up the forums with countless threads. So make things easier, I will lump up the pro's and cons.

Pros:
  • Not as much of a thread/forum is cluttered up with posts / new threads
  • Make updates from businesses / other things easier to access through the original post, instead of skimming through countless pages.
  • Avoids repeated re-creating ban appeals, which proves quite annoying.
Cons:
  • With Edit, one can erase evidence of rulebreaking from forums. This can be a major pain.
  • Not everyone notices an edit.
Feel free to contribute more pros and cons guys.

Thank you for reading,

Jon. :)

Con: changing dates when unbanning is due , e.g: my brother a while back , his title was changed to "unban 23rd" and he changed it to the 10th so things like that could confuse admins.

I thought we could already edit our own posts, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, for a short time after posting - not for all eternity.
