[INVALID] Make wiping out all villagers in a vil bannable

So I've noticed people discussing emeralds, and saying things like "All the villagers will be wiped out in 5.0." I have also noticed that they're right--people love to go around and kill villagers for some strange reason (power?). Anyway, the problem is that it will end up being such that we can't use trading in 5.0, just like we won't be able to grow cocoa beans or find ocelots in 4.0. That's why I suggest that we make it against the rules to wipe out ALL of the villagers in a village. Note the "ALL". It would be permissible to kill a few, but not to wipe out so many that they couldn't breed more. This would allow trading with villagers to be a usable game feature. Please vote, and post your thoughts below.

Make it bannable to kill ANY villagers. Sounds like griefing to me.

Here's a suggestion: Make Villagers immortal and invincible. It might be a wee bit of work (<-- Has no clue about Java) but then there will not be a rule that cannot be policed well.

Villagers are entities, so it would be nigh impossible to tell who killed them, even if you found a village full of dead villagers.

I would have said any villagers, which is probably easier to code, but some people (sick, perverted people, like my brother :o ) enjoy it. Making them immortal, on the other hand, would make zombie attacks pointless. Maybe make them immune to player damage only? But then players could pour lava, etc. Maybe making them immortal is the way to go. Trading is an important aspect of the game that many people have been waiting for for a loooong time.

Villagers can breed. So if at least two survive the initial rush, then I'd imagine there would be plenty.
Anyhow, 5.0 is too far in the future to be planning this kind of thing for, really.

I'm a bit concerned, because of what happened on 4.0 (genocide, basically). Agent-yes, villagers would probably (though not definitely) survive, barely, but only a very few would remain. If a user went and got all of the villagers that remained, that user could have complete monopoly over the emerald market.
