We all know that mobs despawn after so many are in a certain place on minerealm. For some people that have single grinders its hard to level up! Its nice in singleplayer to be afk for an hour and have 200 mobs to kill. If we could make it at no despawn rate or at least raise how many mobs are allowed at once it would REALLY help!

iirc the decreased rate of mob spawning was to decrease/eliminate lag. Would you rather have to spend a few more minutes killing mobs to lvl up or have a laggy server? I know which I prefer.

It would increase the amount people mine and pvp and that would be good. Some might dislike that the value of enchants would drop, but i would consider that a good thing. Also could increased lag be an issue?

Its not really a lag for EVERYONE in the server you arent goig to lag because your are 4000 blocks away the maiin person the lag will affect is the grinder so dont wait 2 days to kill mobs kill them every hour or so IMO

Let's take this step by step.
First. Yes, lag would be server- wide. And yes, a Laggy server is the last thing anybody would want. If it takes to long to grind, deal with it and be patient.
Secondly. Nobody would be happy if the price of enchants went down. They are a huge business industry, and like GS (which has been mentioned a thousand times) Valuable times should be expensive! and if you can't afford them, well what can I say?
That's just my 2 cents. Personally, I think people should just deal with most problems Instead of trying to change them. And if you can't grind for an hour or so at your own grinder, use somebody elses *Cough Arcane Cough cough*.

Grinding is already very easy. It just takes a lot of patience for some people. Allowing mobs to pile up as in single player can make it too easy, not to mention the hideous lag that would result.
But look on the bright side, when Minecraft is updated to 1.3 the maximum enchanting level will be reduced to 30 and the enchantments that result will be better.

and you also get experience from mining and smelting ores. So grinding might be a thing of the past

We need to have some limit on mobs--before that limit was put in place, players were really abusing the system by building up hundreds of mobs in one small area. However, I agree that it should be raised a little bit--doubling the number that can be in a given area would making grinding a bit easier in addition to allowing more flexibility with things like sheep farms, without allowing truly excessive numbers of mobs to be gathered.
