[suggestion] Donor Ads, or colored chat (daily limits)

I think it would be a good idea for the Mine Realm game server to offer 3 donor ads for $1 each and using up to 3 a day but not haveing a donor tag.
It will probably get more people to donate. It doesnt give people unnecessary benefits. and it can work as a temporary donor tag letting people know they donated while advertising their message.
How it works:
It would work like using /ad *message* except it will be /d *message.
You dont get a donor tag if you ask for donor ads. Say you donated $20 and asked for donor ads.
You get 60 donor ads but it will take 20 days to use them up because of the 3 ads per day limit.
why limit? people can use it as as a way to spam, but if its limited it cant be abused.

If no, what about making colored chat (this color) with 5 uses per day?
There's already an option for donors to make colored chat on the creative server. What about offering an option for people to give $1 for 5 colored chat messages per day? (turquoise)
Side note, I didnt make this idea to benefit myself, I actually donated $15 this month and didnt ask for a donor tag. I want to see if this influences more people to donate.

Good idea, I think. Possibly if it reduced the RC cost? OTOH, it might be somewhat unfair-seeming to those who don't donate if it had an in-game benefit (like making it 750rc instead of 1000), but if it didn't, it might not be useful enough to be implemented. I know what we don't want is people paying real money to get not only respect, but an actual in-game benefit. Respect is enough, and this might be a bit over the line. Still a good idea, though.

Donating for donor ads alone seems abit stupid, don't see why anyone would ever pay for something that costs 1k RC to do without spending RL money, especially at your price of 50 cents/ad.
Although allowing all donors to /ad once per day, free, would be a descent feature imo, gives more benefits to being a donor, while not hurting the economy.

you mean 33 cents per ad.
you never know.. It might influence more people to donate.

It might, but it also gives something of an in-game advantage. Even though the ad system functions as a gold sink that removes large numbers of credits from the game's economy, this proposal would provide a service that normally costs 1,000 credits per ad to use.
It's not quite the same thing as simply giving donors a few thousand credits a day, since the credits do not actually enter the economy, but I don't think donor benefits should include things that can normally be bought with credits. In general, I like ideas to give donors little perks--a token of appreciation for their help in keeping the server running--but those should be things that don't have any specific value in credits (e.g. the short-lived option to add screenshots to the world map, or the idea to have special functions for the in-game map items--both of these were new ideas that were being implemented as special treats for donors, rather than the provision of existing goods or services in exchange for donations).

What about changing the way it looks (making the chat turquoise instead of having a box around it) and calling it Donor Colored Chat? with a limited daily usage instead of having a permenant donor tag.

How about having a chat just for donors. Kind of like guild, but you'd type /d?
