2'nd set home, except, every time u teleport, it costs credi

edit 3/1/12: Scratch the old idea, what about a 2'nd set home, but every time u teleport to that home, it would cost 1,000 credits??

also for bug reasons, if someone tries to teleport into a block, they should get feedback error saying "you tried teleporting inside a block, try setting your y coordinate higher"
A better idea in my opinion would be to allow players to purchase multiple sethome locations for 3k each or something, with a maximum of 3 locations, so you could have /sethome1, /sethome2, /sethome3, and /home1 etc.
As many suggestions have been made along the lines of teleporting, but they never get implemented, maybe something more like what i thought may get implemented in the future.

but then it would only cost 3k for a sethome, and you would be able to use it as much as u want. My idea is more of a pay per teleport

you could have 3 homes maximum, and each time you set an extra home it costs 3k. So to set your initial 3 homes would cost 6k as the one set home is free, then if you want to move one of them homes, it will cost you a further 3k and so on.

The one issue with all these ideas surrounding warp commands and /home's and things is that this is a SURVIVAL server. The more and more /home's or warp commands you have takes the Survival away. The entire point of not having multiple homes and warp commands is so that exploration is the only real way of getting around. If everyone had say 3 homes, spawn, trade etc commands then exploration would no longer play a major part in the server as you could just command all over the map to where you need to be without ever walking.

I am fully against any idea that introduces more homes or warp commands based on this reason ^

I think even Intelli said at some point the reason there aren't any more warp commands is to encourage exporation.

Having multiple homes wouldn't make people stop exploring, not in my case anyway, i have 2 groups of realms which sometimes I would like to jump between, I have already explored the area between the 2 groups many times.

but it would cost credits for each teleport, and if the price is right, people would only use it as an alternative for walking 30 minutes to a place they normally visit if their /sethome is taken. And it couldn't be abused or decrease exploration as it would be very costly.

The problem I see with it, is you can teleport into places you're not supposed to get into. People lock things up for a reason. They want to keep people out. Say a pvp tournament is going on in an arena, and someone can just teleport in... How well do you think that will end? One person does it, more see it. Monkey see, monkey do. That's one example of how it can be abused.

I agree.

There's no doubt it's a great proposal. But Tornadic has pointed out its faults. Even if you made the price of an additional set home 300k, it would still be bad. We really shouldn't even have a home warp IMO.

I didn't vote because there's not a sufficient option to choose. I do not support something like this. However, if it were implemented, I would probably still use it.
