I don't know if any more apoc events are in the works... but if they are, they should incorporate the crazy lightning that's been happening at spawn lately

I was there and killed two times!

It sounds like lots of people were... annoying in a normal minecraft game, but it seems appropriate for a game type that features things burning and melting into lava

I dont really understand what any of this is, can someone help me?

The "apoc" (short for "apocalypse") server is a game type which the server owner makes available once in a while. It usually begins with the normal Minerealm map, but there are a few very important changes:

1) Whenever the sun is out, anything in the sunlight starts on fire.
2) Once in a while, blocks turn into lava.

Occasionally, there are also other things to make the game more difficult, like ender dragons flying around in the overworld. In short, it's a very difficult game mode, where anything you build is likely to be destroyed pretty quickly, and everyone dies a lot. Once it's over, the apoc world is removed; throughout the whole process, the normal, relatively safe minerealm server is always available for players who don't want to play the ultra-difficult apoc version.

The purpose of this thread was to suggest that the unusually powerful lightning storms that some players have seen lately could be added to the apoc server (if/when it comes back) to add yet another challenging element.
