I had the idea to have some sort of chat options, where you could select world chat, party chat or private chat. i dont know if it would be possible or how much work would be involved in it just thought it would be a nice little feature. The text addded in the image would be buttons to change which messages you view and who sees your messages

World chat - Visible to everyone, party chat and private chat messages also appear to you

Party chat - Visible to members of your party

Private chat - You type the name of person and only that person sees it, but if for example you miss a message from someone you could then click the private chat and you could still see it as it wouldnt have gone off the top of screen like on world chat.

Also the /p /msg /reply could all still be used for people who dont want to use the chat options

I believe this would require a client-side mod, so it's almost certainly not going to happen. Also, what's wrong with the current system? It's not like you're not using both hands to type anyways, so I don't really see how having a button helps...

theres nothing wrong with the current system, the thing that made me think bout this originally was when i miss private messages.

I wouldn't mind having /msg shortened to /m, and /reply shortened to /r. It's fine once or twice, but it gets tedious after awhile.

I would just like to have an option to disable login/logout/death notifications.

Let me preface by saying, I love Helpbot.

However, sometimes I'd like the ability to mute Helpbot. When people start spamming it with questions about how to make a cat and how to make love, it gets really old really fast.

/helpbot off
/private agentred100 (Messages automatically sent to that person without typing /reply for example)
/public
/party (Messages automatically sent to party)

And then still /chat, so you can turn that on or off.

He means that if you yourself doesn't want to see Helpbot answering people, then you can turn it off on your own screen.

Plus, Helpbot always starts by saying the name of the person it is addressing. If it is addressing you, it should show up regardless of if you have if off.
