Remove "forum ban on appeal comment" rule

FYI the idea to create this poll was from intelli (the big man) himself.

Many minerealm users have been forum banned lately for posting their opinion on the ban appeal of someone else. The reason this rule is silly is because.... Well.... What's the harm in free speech? It can help admins consider if they're even wanted back at all and has got to stop.

An answer such as "it's meaningless" is not acceptable as there is still no need for a ban.

It seems I have been beat here, no more poll and my ginger soul goes to jeniansmom

Usually it's people's friends and enemies who post comments in the appeals. It's not very surprising that the friends always support the appeal and the enemies don't. Therefor these comments ae completely redundant and meaningless and don't need to be there.

ALTHOUGH they don't need to be banned, do they? It's not like it's gonna break the forum

This, is what I thought.

@ Daca
It is a rule, how could they not have followed it? It's right on the front page.

So... Like I said about BSG, where's your reasoning for a ban?

In fact your post shouldn't be there so should I get someone to ban you right now?

I voted no. Reason: they often turn into arguments either among the supporters and non supporters or they bait the already upset banned player into saying things that are detrimental to their ban appeal. Should they be able to control themselves? Probably. But then again, other players should be able to control themselves in regards to posting irrelevant information on someone else's ban appeal if it's a rule not to do so.

Also, the staff has mentioned that it slows down the process of making a decision because it gives them more posts to wade through to find the relevant information from the player involved.

Maybe a forum ban is too harsh. Maybe a temp forum ban. Or maybe just lock ban appeal threads after the initial post and do the rest in PM between whatever staff member is dealing with the appeal and the player in question.

They are temp forum bans, not permanent.
