Suggestion: Lock certain wiki Pages

The link probably leads to some virus infested site or something. The Main page should not be editable by random users. I don't know much about the administrative side of wikis, but if it's an easy fix, I would suggest doing it :)

...people use the wiki?

The link on the main page now redirects you to a Google Client Loader, routed to use a specific client called webhp (Regardless of if you're on Safari, Internet Explorer, etc.). Not sure how dangerous that is, but it's definitely something that needs fixing.

I'm trying to recruit people for a city so I upload pictures and put some information on a page for it. It's useful to be able to link people to it. I know not many people use it, but there still shouldn't be links to potentially dangerous pages on the main page for the Wiki. It makes Minerealm look bad and endangers new players who stumble upon the Wiki.

As for the redirect, my virus scanner went crazy when I clicked the link. Warned me that it would be dangerous to let it load.

Mac's aren't as prone to viruses as Windows Computers, so I could easily "investigate," it if I hadn't already came to the decision that it's a website trafficking scam.

Please don't attempt to start up any Windows vs Mac arguments here.

*On topic*

I agree that the wiki main page should not be editable. I also think that the Wiki has allot of spam pages and needs some tidying.

Strange how 'Wiki' is replaced by 'Search' on the Home page. Still accessible though.

The page has been fixed, along with others.

Wrong. Mac users have the false perception that they are not susceptible to viruses even though they are just as susceptible as Windows users.

Also I'll see if I can fix the wiki.

EDIT: Didn't see it was already fixed.

This is highly inaccurate, as Mac's are better, and for that reason are better.

Also, @fryingpan, no one started anything, I stated my opinion, you responding that way is what initiates those dumb arguments.

EDIT: To start some necessary flame against PC's, here's something incredibly convincing:

Don't read if you are one of those PC users who can't stand to admit the virus protection deficiency, or even hear about it.

My brother gets a PC. He goes to a website linked from Facebook, and his computer screen turns black, turns back again, and no longer can run any applications, like Internet Explorer, or Minecraft, etc.

I go to that same website, on my Mac, and it's just a blank virus infested page, none of the viruses effect my computer whatsoever.

Another time, I asked a PC user from minerealm (not saying any names) "Do you think Mac's are just as prone to viruses as PC's?" He immediately respons: "NONONONO DONT GET A PC UNLESS YOU LOVE DOING TONS OF UNNECESSARY THINGS TO KEEP IT SAFE, THINGS THAT WOULDNT BE NECESSARY ON A MAC." I asked, what could possibly happen to get this guy so angry at PC's, he said the first week he got his PC a virus scan showed 42 viruses, none of which were easily soluble.

I've never had one problem like the aforementioned with my mac.
