Suggestion: Party PVP Toggle

Party members can't hit each other unless they have a command similar to "/party pvp" on. This would better allow faction vs faction pvp as you wouldn't be able to hit party members with potions or swords accidentally. What do you guys think?

I honestly can't find a reason to not support this, it would make faction vs faction pvp so much easier.

I support this idea as its incredibly annoying when you are PVPing whilst teamed up with someone and you accidently hit them.

Yes. I've never killed a friend in the nether, but I have definately hit them before.

While I can see the advantages for cooperative pvp, I think this would be far too exploitable. Friendly fire is the only thing that discourages diamond sword dog-piles and the spamming of potions. Though I don't have a serious issue with dog-piles, potion spamming is highly abusable. Potions are already unbalanced in small fights due to inventory tweeks; this would only worsen the problem in large fights.

Hero, could you please explain the reason(s) you believe that NTC would not like this suggestion? As for my opinion, I believe this would be a nice feature to have on minerealm. It would save some casualties and friendly fire in pvp. I for one, am for this.

+1

What I understand from this, is that all the potion spammers in the nether, are using client mods to stack/move them faster? If this is so, this is unbelievably unfair, and should be stopped. As client mods are not allowed, I see no reason for this one to be overlooked, for it puts one player in a position with an advantage another player does not have.

This.

You people know who you are... PvP was spoiled with the "luxury" of instant kills. This isn't freaking instagib, now grow a pair and pull out your diamond sword already.

At any rate, I think that friendly fire is a part of the game. You can't spam potions / swords at friends in Minecraft for the same reason you can't shoot bazookas and chuck grenades at friends in real life.
