WE should build a castle on the border of the server. It will have mob arenas, trading posts(run by actual players), a pvp zone, nether portals, end portals and other things. The shops could contain things like swors and other weapons for one shop, bear essentials in another , another one could be an enchantment room where someone will chareg you say... 7 fish or beef for an enchantment, so on and so forth. It would be a grand structure and could have its own colosium and pathway leading from the spawn in the air!! it would be so cool. the question is... can we do it??????

What you describe is called "minerealm" already.

I've always wanted to build a giant city, complete with giant castle, town square/ trading area, and etc...

It would be built/run by anyone really, not home to any certain community. Just a grand city owned by everyone.

Just an idea I had

There are several cities, for example Lutzville. We build it together, only 500 blocks away from spawn.
We have many free plots for new Members. Map:
