Bring Back the Way Mobs Spawn

So recently, Intelli has made it so you couldn't have a lot of monsters spawn from one mob spawner. it makes it to if it spawns more than 6 mobs , it will despawn the rest that spawn. This was put into place to reduce the amount of lag that was gathered when people would sit AFK at spawners for long periods of time. I would however like for this to be put back in place, but to an extent. the lag before he put this rule in place wasn't that bad. i still couldn't even notice the lag on the server when people would sit AFK at spawners including me. all i would want is to at least make the mob cap not be unlimited mobs, but maybe to like 20 mobs. or maybe even 30. anyways, please post your thoughts below and if you say no, please let me know why.

Voted yes, spent over 165k on 3+ mob spawner exp farms, and now they're pretty much useless, and you'd be better off just having 1-2 spawners, since 3+ spawns them sofast that the server removes most of the monsters.

I think that a cap of 30-40 mobs would cause minimal lag and would be a reasonable request. This mob cap is really taking the "barely vanilla" away. In vanilla minecraft, XP farms are now large part of the minecraft experience. I vote yes but It is not my server and if this is rejected, this server will still be the best. :]

I'd like the current method more if the limit was slightly higher. Breeding is next to impossible now.

As for the ludicrous mob farms (like Cannabin01's 500 zombies)...I don't think they have a place in SMP.

im guilty of making 500+ mobs spawn as well. it was probably more than 1000+ zombies to be honest. however many zombies 16 hours would spawn for you. that's how many i allowed to spawn. i couldn't even kill them because of the 1 FPS

Keep in mind this was not only done because of the lag it caused, but also in the influx of the amount high enchanted items that entered the market.

Yes, but think of most other servers that are much like us jdankk and Intelli. The influx of enchanted items is just a new part of minecraft that is natural. Say if a somewhat valueable block was added, and a high amount it was being sold, would you attempt to cap that as well?

No?

Edit: Also, mob spawners still work fine, as long as you kill the mobs right away. The script only prevents large amounts of mobs from amassing in one spot.
